Join us for a kid-friendly visit to the Kensington Farm Center. You and your children will meet farm animals and get a glimpse of rural life at Kensington Metropark’s Farm Center. Take in the sights, smells and sounds of life on the farm and see live farm animals like chickens, sheep, cattle and draft horses. The center’s Supervising Interpreter, Dr. Patrick Bigelow, will give us a guided tour of the farm. After the farm tour, we will load onto a wagon for a hayride. As we tour the farm, Dr. Bigelow will also give us an overview of the “Seeding a Green Future” project we funded in 2018. This fall the project will enter its third and final year. Bring a bag lunch or purchase food from the Farmhouse Grille for a group picnic after our hayride. The grille offers hamburgers, hotdogs, French fries etc.
Cost: free! Note there is a $10 vehicle day pass charge to enter the metro park and please bring money if you’d like to purchase lunch.
