While we all can’t be together right now, there are still lots of ways to connect through Impact100 Oakland County.
At a recent virtual orientation, new members were encouraged to think about how they can get the most out of their Impact100 membership this year. Some ideas that were shared include:
Join a committee. Joining a committee is a great way to get to know other members. Most committees meet on a regular basis, either via Zoom or in small groups. Impact100 is sustained by the talents of our members. Find a new way to use your skillset by joining a committee such as:
-
Grant Review
-
Member Recruitment
-
Sponsorships and Fundraising
-
Nonprofit Outreach
-
Finance Review and Accounting
-
Event Planning
-
Public Relations and External Communications
-
Member Communications
-
Board of Directors
Volunteer to support one of our partner nonprofits. During this challenging time, the needs in our community are greater than one grant can fulfill. Look for volunteer opportunities with our grant finalists and recipients, and through our partner nonprofits as we post their wishlists on social media and on our website.
Attend virtual events. Our two signature events are the Member Reveal (hopefully you attended this spring’s virtual event) and the Annual Grant Awards Ceremony, when we’ll vote for the 2020 grant recipients in November.
Help recruit new members. It’s never too early to start recruiting new members for the 2021 giving year. Word of mouth is our most effective tool for growth. Help spread our mission through your networks. The more women who join, the more grant funding we can give.
Don’t let the year go by without making the most of your Impact100 membership!
