Meet a Board Member – Eva Kirkman

Meet Eva Kirkman!

How long have you been a member?  1 year

What inspired you to join the organization?I was inspired to join Impact 100 because I’ve always believed in the power of people coming together to create real, lasting change. Joining this group felt like a natural extension of my professional career in nonprofit consulting, and my personal passion for community connection and philanthropy. I wanted to be part of a network of women dedicated to making an impact and a difference.

How has your membership impacted your life?  My membership has introduced me to incredible nonprofits in Oakland County that are doing meaningful work across a variety of sectors. Serving on the nonprofit review committee was especially rewarding, as it gave me the opportunity to dive deeper into these organizations’ missions and impact. It’s been inspiring to learn about their dedication to their missions- being part of a group that amplifies their efforts has been a truly fulfilling experience.

What is your favorite Impact100 memory? My favorite Impact100 memory was attending the 2024 Annual Awards Celebration. Seeing the excitement and gratitude of the grant recipients, and knowing the transformative work they plan to accomplish with money they receive is very moving. It was such a powerful reminder of the collective impact we’re making together. The energy in the room and the shared sense of purpose inspires all of the members within the organization and the nonprofits in attendance.

Tell us a little bit about YOU!I recently moved back to Birmingham after living away for 11 years, and I’m excited to reconnect with the surrounding community. As a nonprofit consultant, I help organizations raise funds and achieve their missions.. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my two dogs and husband, exploring local events, trying new restaurants, and staying active with running and barre classes. I also love reading and spending quality time with family and friends!
